DVD Review: Eternal Salvation

Jonathan Wright has got a lot going right in his life...he has been successful with his job, he has a beautiful wife, and a daughter that is a blessing. His coworker kind of bugs him with his Jesus talk, even though he's a very kind man who takes his joking and mean remarks without lashing out.  In the blink of an eye, Jonathan and his family's life changes when he experiences a brain aneurysm. His "annoying" coworker visits him in the hospital in a very meaningful way that helps to change his life forever for the better, while the man that was more of a "friend" to him at work kept his distance more than he would have liked when he was going through this hardship.

The good parts of this story after something terrible happens to a man and his family are like what I hope would happen to other people going through hard times as well. I loved how Scripture was brought up at different points in the film and the explanations of those Scriptures. The change in Jonathan's speech and vision after he had the first brain episode made what his character went through more real to me.

One thing I struggled with in the film is when it was explained that people who follow Jesus are not under the law, because I believe God writes parts of his law (instructions) on people's hearts (such as The Ten Commandments otherwise known as The Ten Words).

This is a nice family-based film that I believe is great for people ages twelve and over to watch. There are some hard to understand situations that happen and then there are some very beautiful moments, which may stir the hearts of some people that have already given their lives over to Jesus and people that haven't yet. There are many topics in the film that a lot of people should connect with, such as family, work, and reaching out to others.

My review= 4.5 out of 5 stars
