Book Review: God's Greatest Gift Written and Illustrated by Deborah Burch

*****This review is meant for parents, teachers, and other people that work with children to read.*****

There are many gifts that God gives the child in this book, it’s hard for her to know which one is the greatest…is it something in nature, an animal, a favorite drink, a beautiful place, or is it something much different?  Children will discover what the girl in this story thinks of as gifts from God, and then what she finally sees as God’s greatest gift. There are vivid illustrations throughout the story that will bring children deeper into it.

I think that many children will enjoy this book! I can imagine that some children would say something like “I like that too!” as the story is being read to them when they learn of some of the child’s gifts from God. Teachers or parents can ask the children what their gifts from God are too, and also ask them what their greatest gift from him is.  I think that this would probably be a book that some children might want to pull out on their own and read and/or look at the pictures. The hard cover edition (the edition I received) will probably hold up for awhile as long as no pictures are ripped in the book because it seems pretty durable.

My rating = 5 out of 5 stars
