Book Review: Terry Treetop and the Lost Egg by Tali Carmi, illustrated by Mindy Liang

*****This review is meant for parents, teachers, and other people that work with children to read.*****

Terry Treetop finds an egg lying on the grass and he is determined to find out who the egg belongs to. He asks many different animals; as they are replying they give him details about what kind of eggs they lay and what happens after they hatch. Terry backtracks where he found the egg and it all comes to him where the egg came from. When the egg hatches Terry tells the little baby animal what to do to try to have its mama come home.

I love the Terry Treetop series because the stories educate children about animals and nature. Terry always seems to be up to some adventure with helping someone, and that is a great way to show children that it’s good to help people. In this specific story I can imagine children guessing whether or not the egg belonged to this animal or that one. This seems like a book that children would pull off the bookshelf various times to read!

My review = 5 out of 5 stars
