Book Blog Tour: The Dream Dress by Janice Thompson

Gabi Delgado hopes for her dream of brides wearing her wedding dress designs during their weddings to come true while she is going through a lot of discouragement. Not everybody realizes how much time and effort goes into making a beautiful wedding dress but Gabi is willing to labor for it to make some brides’ wedding days happier. Jordan Singer’s handsome presence doesn’t seem to help her much though, but maybe he can help her dreams come true. Each chapter title is a Fred Astaire and/or Ginger Rogers film or song, and there are funny lines used from various people (mostly from Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, and authors unknown) which add to the humor in the story.

The Dream Dress is book 3 in the Weddings by Design series. As always, Janice has a way of bringing humor into her stories that doesn’t seem to put any of the characters down. I really liked how other characters from the Weddings by Design series were brought into this story at times also. It shows that our influence on others and in their lives spread many different ways.

This book and the Weddings by Design series helped opened up my mind to the fact that wedding preparations, such as making cakes and dresses for brides are some things that make a lot of brides and grooms happier. I believe that they often add to the most beautiful part of the wedding which I believe to be the commitment between a bride and a groom that love each other and plan to follow their vows that they promise in God's presence.
