Book Blog Tour: Perfectly Matched by Maggie Brendan

Anna Olsen is a mail-order bride. She and Edward Parker trust that they are supposed to be together but right from the start their differences are evident. Edward gives her a list of chores that she is expected to follow right after they are married. Anna is not used to being so involved in the home. Pets are being taken into their home because of Anna's love for them. Edward is not used to having pets in his house and the topic of pets in general is kind of painful for him. Both Edward and Anna are irritated with each other and don't know if they can learn to love each other, and one day appreciate who they are.

I can now understand the risks better of being a mail-order bride by reading this story. The husband and wife have not had time together in person to get used to each other's character traits, to be able to know if they will be able to handle the actions of each other in a marriage relationship. Going from someone that is used to having free time to do what she wants to taking care of her husband and his house can be a major transition for some women, and adapting to an environment with no pets to all of the sudden having them taking over the house can be impossible for some people. It was interesting to be able to understand if both Anna and Edward would be able to adapt so that their marriage could even be possible. I did like that all interest was not lost by people who supported Anna's cause in the story, even when the animals she helped caused difficulty.

Many dog and cat lovers will most likely take an interest in this book but it's also for people (like me) who like them but cannot have them in their homes.

My review= 5 out of 5 stars
