Book Blog Tour and Contest Information: Love Finds You in Glacier Bay Alaska by Tricia Goyer and Ocieanna Fleiss

My Review:  Ginny Marshall is about to become famous in the music industry but decides it is more important for her to take a trip to Glacier Bay, Alaska. Her fianc√© stopped communicating with her after she ran and sent back the wedding ring but she needs to find peace about the situation. When she arrives in Alaska she thinks she has gotten off at the wrong place, it doesn’t seem to even look like a normal airport but someone assures her that she has landed at the right place. When she meets up with Brett he is confused about why Ginny left him and came back, it broke his heart. During her time in Alaska she also finds a box of old letters; the letters unfold a story about Clay who was a missionary and Ellie who was a children’s governess.

I liked the missionary theme in this story. It is always interesting the ways that people sometimes come together while being missionaries. I got lost when the letters started being included in the story; I had a hard time connecting them to what was happening with Ginny and Brett. If I went back and reread the story I might be able to make the connection better. I guess my focus was probably on Ginny and Brett’s story. I connected more with Ginny when she described herself as a person who grew up without a mom and dad, maybe because I spent a good part of my childhood without one of my real parents. She spent time at other family member’s houses but it wasn’t the same during the holidays because the other children got spoiled while she didn’t get that much. It was interesting to learn that this is one of the novels that the publisher has produced out of their goal of fifty U.S. states.

My Rating= 4 out of 5 stars
