My Review of The Haven by Suzanne Woods Fisher:
Reading The Haven brought back wonderful memories of reading the first Stoney Ridge Seasons book titled The Keeper. I learned that the Lapp family farm is famous for attracting rare birds; those birds also brought a large amount of tourists with them. The relationship between Sadie and Gideon always kept me wondering if anything could make it better. Sadie’s dad is recovering from the heart surgery he had in the first novel; which helped me to remember his son Menno who died in a tragic accident during the first novel; which is where his new heart came from. I loved it that Sadie saw the surprise she was given as a gift from God and that her family did a good job of accepting the surprise into their lives as well. The ending of the novel left me anticipating the release of book three of this Amish series.
I recommend this book to Amish fiction lovers!
