Book Review: Jewish Holiday Adventures by Ethel Stein, Illustrated by Donna M. Kaye

*****This review is meant for parents, teachers, and other people that work with children to read.*****

Jewish Holiday Adventures is a compilation of children’s stories in relation to different Jewish holidays such as Hanukkah, Rosh Hashanah, and Sukkot. There is an illustration with each story that helps children to be able to picture better what the stories are about. There is also one poem about a Jewish holiday. It is a book that promotes more diversity in our world by educating children about Jewish holidays that are celebrated by many people.

The author often uses her children as characters in her stories and I saw that at least one of her three children was a character in one of the stories in this book. This would be a good book to always keep on the bookshelf in schools that teach about Jewish holidays and homes that celebrate Jewish holidays, since it covers different Jewish holidays that occur at different times of the year.
